Welcome to the Keep, a friendly community of 44 houses in Blackheath, south east London.  The houses were designed by the renowned architect Eric Lyons and built by Span Developments in 1957/8.

Every house owner signs up to pay a subscription, which is used to maintain our grounds and roads, and agrees to certain standards for external repairs, improvements and decoration. In return, every owner has a share in KRA and a say in how the estate is run. People renting are also an important part of our community and are fully included in all our activities.

The Keep is an autonomous estate within the wider Cator Estate. It has its own volunteer directors and non-profit making residents’ association, the Keep Residents Association (KRA). We are in a Conservation Area within the Royal Borough of Greenwich.
