Whether you are buying or renting, please do join our useful WhatsApp group to keep up to date with what’s going on: email info@thekeepblackheath.co.uk to join. Here are the answers to a few questions you may have:
• Parking: Only Keep residents and their visitors are allowed to park in the Keep. There are no reserved spaces. We maintain the roads within our estate; the main roads in the Cator Estate are maintained by Blackheath Cator Estate Residents Ltd (BCER). Some of the Cator Estate gates are closed at certain times. More information on parking and access permits outside the Keep is available on www.blackheathcatorestate.co.uk
• Bins: You should have 3 bins: green top for food and garden waste; blue top for mixed dry recycling; black top for all other waste. Green and blue bins are collected weekly, usually early on Tuesday morning; black bins are collected fortnightly. Bank holidays often affect collection days: Greenwich publishes details on its website. You need to put bins out the night before collection. For most houses they are put by the garages. The houses backing on to Morden Road Mews can put their bins outside their back gates. Please take your bins back into your garden after they have been emptied; alternatively, you can keep them in the area at the bottom of the garages.
• Social events: We usually have a summer BBQ in June and fireworks in November. Our annual general meeting is usually held in September. Join the WhatsApp group (email info@thekeepblackheath.co.uk) to find out more.
• Grounds: We have gardeners here, usually on Mondays. We try to keep a balance between maintaining the look of the estate and allowing children freedom to play.
